A New Chapter In Creativity…

Welcome to the all new Creative Wire website! As you can see, we’ve been doing a bit of remodelling around here! Therefore, we thought you might like a tour around some of the changes and features to the site!

  • Our number one reason for a new site was to make communicating with you easier! We want to start a meaningful dialogue between ourselves, students, teachers, those in the arts and the wider general public! If you have ideas for workshops, research you’d like to see undertaken or a question you’d like to pose to the world: We want to be that meeting place for ideas, so that we can continue to discover more effective ways to engage with each other and to ensure that each of us are not just “either teachers or students” but we are all teachers and students at the same time.

So, how do we do that, though? Well, we’re glad you asked! With the advent of 21st century technology it’s now easier than ever to stay in touch. Creative Wire is now techno savvy and social media friendly as we can now be found on Facebook, Twitter or we can be followed via our RSS feeds (See footer of page for more details). You’ll also notice that you can comment on many areas of the site – so make the most of it!

  • The old site was “Flash” based – yes it was very pretty to look at, though flash wasn’t entirely practical for everyone. With our new HTML/PHP based site we can now be viewed on over 52 million iPhones and iPads! No wonder we felt like we were missing out on something…
  • The one improvement to the website that we’re most proud to launch, though, is our Showcase page where students that we’ve worked with are able to upload the music that they’ve written for the world to see and comment on!
  • We’ll also be keeping a regular Blog with either updates about Creative Wire or information on topics in general that we found interesting, and think you might too! If you’re reading this, then congratulations! You’ve already found the blog!

We hope you like you the all new Creative Wire and please let us know if we’ve missed something!
